Introduction to the south gate of the Cultural Palace: There was no such gate in the Imperial Ancestral Temple. It was built in 1914 at the same time as the south gate of Zhongshan Park in order to maintain the symmetrical layout of the imperial city. It has a single eaves with yellow glazed tiles on the top of the mountain, an arch below, and an open door behind the gate. The hall is connected and leads directly to the temple. At that time, the Xunqing royal family had not handed over the Ancestral Temple, so it had not been used for a long time. In 1924, Puyi left the palace, and in 1926, the Imperial Ancestral Temple was changed into Peace Park. This gate was opened to the public.
