Introduction to Zhihua Hall: Zhihua Hall is equivalent to the Main Hall. The hall originally enshrined the seated statues of Sakyamuni Buddha, Medicine Buddha, Amitabha Buddha and the Eighteen Arhats. The caisson of the Zhihua Hall is square in shape and has a complex structure and exquisite craftsmanship. It is the best architectural wood carving in the Ming Dynasty. It was lost to the United States in the 1930s and now exists in the Nelson Museum of Art. There is a building behind the Zhihua Hall, which contains a mural from the Ming Dynasty - "Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva and the Ten Kings of the Underworld".
