Introduction to the Great Patriotic War Museum: The Great Patriotic War Museum is located on the left side of the Palace of the Republic in Minsk. It was first opened to the public on October 22, 1944. It is the largest Patriotic War memorial with the largest collection in Belarus.
The Patriotic War Museum has a total of 25 exhibition halls with a total area of 3,600 square meters, displaying 132,500 various photos, cultural relics and works of art. They mainly come from the "Life and Combat Course of Belarus" held in Moscow in October 1942. The exhibition reflects the tragic history of the Belarusian military and civilians fighting against German fascism from 1941 to 1945; the inner courtyard of the museum is a dedicated display platform, displaying actual Soviet weapons and equipment from the Second World War.
