Introduction to Beerschot Stadium: Beerschot Stadium was founded in 1914 and was the main stadium of the 7th Olympic Games in 1920. It was founded by the team that won the 1912 Olympic sharp sword (epee) team championship. Antwerp architect Montigney, one of the members, and his colleague Somers designed and rebuilt it in 1919. The stadium can accommodate 30,000 spectators, and for the first time in Olympic history, a track with a circumference of 400 meters is used.
