Anhalter Bahnhof Introduction: Anhalter Bahnhof is named after its railway line connecting Berlin with the province of Anhalt (now part of the state of Saxony-Anhalt). It suffered devastating air raids during World War II. Subsequently, the dilapidated platform and station buildings were completely demolished, leaving only the colonnade at the original entrance. Buildings such as garages and warehouses are now used as exhibition rooms for the Deutsches Technisches Museum.
