Introduction to Laozi’s hometown: Woyang Tianjing Palace in Bozhou is the birthplace of Laozi, the great thinker, philosopher, founder of the Taoist school and the originator of Taoism in China’s pre-Qin Dynasty, and the ancestral home of Taoism. Laozi wrote the Tao Te Ching and was the founder of the Taoist school. His theory was later developed by Zhuang Zhou. The descendants of Taoism regard Laozi as their master.
