Introduction to Iguazu National Park: Iguazu National Park is located in a basalt zone and is surrounded by a subtropical rainforest with more than 200 species of vascular plants. Many rare and endangered animal and plant species are protected in the park. This is the happy home of South America’s representative wildlife: tapirs, giant otters, anteaters, howler monkeys, tiger cats, jaguars and giant crocodiles.
