Introduction to the 50th Anniversary Park: The 50th Anniversary Park was built to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Belgian independence. It was opened in 1880 and was used as the exhibition venue at that time. The arched 50th Anniversary Arc de Triomphe in the park was designed and built by the architect Girault in 1905 under the order of Leopold II. It is flanked by the National Museum of Fine Arts and History and the Royal Museum of Military History.
