Introduction to Bryggen: Bryggen is mostly a three-story building with long and narrow windows, steep roofs, and gables made of wooden slats. The huts generally have stone basements, which were once filled with treasures from northern Norway. Fish and grains from Europe.
The 58 preserved wooden buildings were built after the fire of 1702 and still retain the characteristics of the medieval port. These houses are still in good condition today. Some have become souvenir shops, some have become restaurants where you can taste authentic Bergen seafood, and some have been used as exhibitions and displays of historical relics.
