Throne Room Introduction: The Throne Room is located in the main room on the west side of the palace. It is a place where the Queen releases royal news, holds balls, and holds royal weddings and photography.
The largest in the main room is the "Royal Ballroom", which was built in 1850 and was specially built for Queen Victoria. There is a giant crystal chandelier hanging in the hall; there is a crystal chandelier hanging in the throne room, and the top of the surrounding walls are painted with the War of the Roses in the 15th century. The throne in the center was used by the current queen and her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, when she was coronated in 1953. The coronation throne of Queen Victoria and the four large seats used by King George IV when he was coronated are also preserved in the room.
