Introduction to Baizhang Temple: Baizhang Zen Temple has a history of more than 1,200 years. It is the birthplace of the "Zen Lin Qinggui" of Chinese Zen Buddhism and one of the top ten ancient temples of Chinese Buddhism. Tang Xuanzong, Neo-Confucian Zhou Dunyi, and Ming Dynasty official Cai Guozhen all visited here and left a large number of poems and stone carvings. When Xuanzong ascended the throne, he was given the plaque "Dazhi Shou Sheng Chan Temple" by the emperor; the four words "Qinggui of the World" written by the great calligrapher Liu Gongquan were placed on the 100-foot Shanxi stone wall.
