Introduction to Plaza Mayor: Plaza Mayor in the center of Cáceres was built in the 13th century and was once a handicraft market. A building with arched pillars was built in the 16th century. On the east side is the city wall of the Alimohad Dynasty in the 12th century. On the west side is the Peace Monastery built in the 18th century, with Spanish sculptor Pietro Corre on it. A work "Our Lady of Peace".
