Introduction to National Chiao Tung University: National Chiao Tung University, referred to as Chiao Tung University or Hsinchu Chiao Tung University, was formerly Nanyang Public School founded in Shanghai in 1896. After the separation of the two sides, the original location in Shanghai was reorganized into Shanghai Jiao Tong University. In 1958, Jiaotong University was reestablished in Taiwan, following National Chengchi University and National Tsinghua University, and was located in Hsinchu City.
