Introduction to the old library: The predecessor of the National People's Congress Library was the Northern Shaanxi Public School Library founded in 1937. After the new building was put into use in 2011, the old building basically lost its original functions. The main building is outdated and the internal facilities can no longer meet the needs of readers, and it has been used for other purposes.
