Introduction to Mt Stromlo Observatory: Mt Stromlo Observatory is located in the middle of the pine forest on Mount Stromlo in Canberra, the capital of Australia. It was built in 1924. By 1975, it was designated by the Australian National Universities take over. The current primary instrument is a 74-inch (188 cm) reflecting space telescope. Other equipment includes 50-inch (127 cm), 30-inch (76 cm) and 26-inch (66 cm) reflecting telescopes. Visitors can choose to observe celestial objects through the telescope, and children will also find fun during the trip.
