Sogo Department Store Introduction: Hong Kong Sogo Department Store opened on May 31, 1985. The first branch was located in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong, with an area of 120,000 square feet at that time. In 1993, an addition was built next door, doubling the area and renaming it Jumbo Sogo. After expansion, it became the largest department store in Hong Kong. In November 1996, Sogo opened The New Face by Sogo on Tung Point Road opposite, which was later renamed Beaute@Sogo. In July 1997, the basement of the adjacent Kimberly Shopping Center was opened and connected to the Sogo basement to open a supermarket Supermart (now called "Freshmart"). In 2004, Sogo Club was added on floors 11-16. Currently, the SOGO Causeway Bay store has 19 floors, with an average daily flow of 89,000 people.
