Introduction to the former residence: The former residence was built during the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty. It is a typical residential building in the Qing Dynasty. It was built by Lin Boqu's great-grandfather Lin Changhuai when he was the magistrate of Linshui County, Sichuan.
