Introduction to Zhuyu Lake: Although the area of Zhuyu Lake is not large, its history is very long. It is said that when Dayu was controlling floods, there was an allusion in Jinzhong, Shanxi Province that he "opened the mouth of Lingshi and vacated Jinyang Lake". In fact, during the period of Dayu, the place name "Jinyang" did not exist; at that time, the Jinzhong Basin was still a vast ocean, and its name was "Zhaoyu Qize"; the center was in the current Qixian area. After Dayu retreated, large and small lakes were left on the land in Jinzhong. Later, some became fertile farmland, some became depressions, and some remained lakes (such as Jinyang Lake in the southwest of Taiyuan City). The central area of the Chang Family Courtyard used to be filled with water all year round and was covered with reeds and aquatic plants. Because it is one of the few remaining waters in the Marsh Yu Qize, people still habitually call it "Zhao Yu Lake".
