Introduction to Chonglie Gate: was built in 1946 and was destroyed during the Cultural Revolution. The current Chonglie Gate was restored and rebuilt on the original site in 2006 with reference to old photos. It was built to commemorate the soldiers who died in the three battles of Changsha during the Anti-Japanese War. Chiang Kai-shek, Chen Cheng, Zhang Zhizhong and others took the lead in donating money to build it. It is an archway-style building made entirely of granite, 8.5 meters wide and 5.9 meters high.
