Introduction to Wenchang Pavilion: Wenchang, the name of a star official, is the god who controls fame and position in Chinese mythology. In the old days, it was mostly worshiped by scholars. Wenchang Pavilion has two floors. Downstairs there is a statue of Emperor Wenchang. Upstairs are displayed the Changshu Renyanzi (Ziyou), one of the ten disciples of Confucius, and the eight number one scholars in Changshu history. In April 1928, the first Communist Party branch in Shajiabang was established here.
