Introduction to Fuchengmen: Fuchengmen is another new highlight of Yucheng tourism after Changshu Fangta Park, Zeng Zhaoyuan and Xinyushan Park. Fuchengmen is commonly known as Ximen. During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, Japanese pirates invaded the Yangtze River from the sea and harassed Changshu. In the 32nd year of Jiajing's reign, in order to consolidate the city defense and expand the city wall, this city gate was built from the back of Xinfeng Pavilion in Yushan Mountain. The newly restored Fucheng Gate has three door openings. The middle gate is designed with two lanes. The main surface is 25.95 meters wide and 19.04 meters deep. The gate tower is about 20 meters high, restoring the original historical appearance of the Ming Dynasty.
