Ferry introduction: From the evening of October 17th to 20th, 1934, 86,000 Central Red Army soldiers crossed the more than 600-meter-wide Yudu River from 8 ferries including the East Gate, South Gate, and West Gate of Yudu County. , embarked on the arduous 25,000-mile Long March, including important leaders such as Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, Zhu De, Zhang Wentian, and Bo Gu. In order to ensure the smooth crossing of the river by the Red Army, the people of Yudu strongly supported the Red Army, mobilizing all civilian boats, setting up pontoons and ferries, some lighting torches, some delivering tea and meals, and some directly participating in the bridge building. When the Red Army crossed the Duhe River, the people of Dudu, men, women, old and young, poured onto the bridge from all directions and presented cups of tea and bamboo hats to the Red Army soldiers, hoping that their loved ones would have a safe journey and return soon.
