Introduction to Longting: Longting was the place where Emperor Qianlong summoned literati from the south of the Yangtze River for examination. At that time, Qian Weicheng, the number one scholar in Changzhou, knelt down and presented the picture of "Shipboat Pavilion" to Qianlong. Qianlong was overjoyed when he saw the picture and happily wrote a poem for it. The couplets in this pavilion are a portrayal of the scene at that time.
