Introduction to Wu's Zhongchengdi: Wu's Zhongchengdi was originally located on the north side of the middle section of Heping South Road and Max Lane in the east of the old city of Changzhou, facing south. The old north is connected to Baima Sansitu Lane, and its east and west neighbors are residential buildings. It is a group of mid-Qing Dynasty buildings covering an area of more than 1,400 square meters. The old owner of the mansion, Wu Guangyue, was a Jinshi in the first year of Jiaqing in the Qing Dynasty (1796). In Beijing, he served as Secretary of the Cabinet, on duty at the Military Aircraft Department, and as Censor. Later, he was sent to other places as an official, first as the prefect of Ningguo Prefecture, and the highest official was the governor of Jiangxi Province, where he was a second-grade official. In the Qing Dynasty, the governor was honored as "Zhongcheng", and his house got its name from this.
