Introduction to ancient residential buildings: The ancient residential buildings in Jiaxiang, Yixing are well preserved. The most representative ones are a large number of ancient residential buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties. Most of the arcades on both sides were built in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. They combine Chinese and Western styles and have unique architectural styles. They include the Chaozhou style that is both rustic and elegant, and the romance and splendor of the Oriental Baroque style.
