Introduction to Zhuyuan Temple: Zhuyuan Temple is located on the hillside west of the West Lake in Chengde Summer Resort. It is the first large-scale Buddhist temple built by the emperor. It was built in 1761 (the 26th year of Qianlong). The temple is close to the source of the waterfall in the north, and the mountain waterfall splashes with beads. The scenery is very beautiful, hence its name. There are three gate halls, named "Dingci Gate". The following are the bell, drum tower, Tianwang Hall, stone archway, Zongjing Pavilion, double-story pavilion (commonly known as "Great Sumeru Mountain") and Zhongxiang Tower with thirteen couplets in Feilou (commonly known as "Xiaoxitian"). Among them, the Zongjing Pavilion is a double-layered Buddhist pavilion, all made of bronze. More than 220 tons of copper are used in the whole pavilion, commonly known as the "Bronze Palace". Unfortunately, it was plundered by Japanese invaders in 1944. Currently, only the bronze plaque "Haizang Holding Wheel" and the bronze couplets holding pillars are displayed in the Summer Resort Museum.
