Introduction to Wang Xian: During the reign of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty (AD 847-860), Wang Xiang, a native of Chenzhou, practiced medicine all his life and often collected herbs to help people treat illnesses and injuries. His son Wang Xi inherited his father's business and had an affair with a stranger when he was wandering around. The secrets and magical skills have certainly made great progress in medical skills. Changsha people believed that Wang Xi was the reincarnation of Bian Que and worshiped him as a god. Later, Wang Xi lived in seclusion in a mountain east of Changsha. On March 15, the third year of Emperor Zhaozong's reign in the Tang Dynasty (AD 903), the mountain he became immortal was Xishan, and a fairy platform was revealed on the mountain. In memory of Wang Xi, Chenzhou people built the Luxian Temple in the southwest of Chenzhou City, and built the Wangxian Temple behind the hut where Wang Xi lived on Wangxiang Mountain. They also renamed Wangxiang Mountain Wangxianling.
