Relief introduction: The back waist of each stone statue on Ahuna Una'u is carved with simple relief carvings. The relief patterns are engraved with the fishhook fastened to the belt of the early islanders who tied the fig leaf (loin cloth). Some of the fishhooks are even connected with coiled fishing ropes, which is not found on other Ahu giants on the island.
