Introduction to Dongshui Gate: Dongshui Gate and the ancient city wall were built in the early Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty, from 1368 to 1398 AD. They were built by Shi Daiding, the commander of Chongqing. At that time, Dai Ding built a stone city on the old site, which was ten feet high and seven feet high, with a lake surrounding the river. Today, only about 230 meters of the ancient city wall from Bajiao Courtyard to Dongshuimen Lower Alley are preserved in the Dongshuimen City Wall. The Chongqing Dongshui Gate, which is an all-stone structure, is 3.1 meters wide, 4.5 meters high and 6.6 meters thick. It is now a municipal cultural relic protection unit in Chongqing.
