Introduction to Daerqi Cave: On the other side of Wubu River, there is a cliff standing on the riverside. There are many caves between the cliffs, which are like tubes. Looking up, you can see stars in the blue sky. If there is an opening at the foot of the cliff, you must bend down and enter sideways. The inside of the cave is as spacious as a hall, but the only interesting thing that has been passed down to this day is a small hole in the middle of the cliff, with an oval-shaped mouth, which the local people call it Daer Cave.
According to legend, at the end of the Ming Dynasty, Zhao Yuanwai, who was over 40 years old, had married five wives and still had no children. At the foot of Songzifeng Mountain in Dongquan, he met an old man and asked, "What is the name of this place?" The old man replied: "It's a way to send Zi Feng away." "Why send Zi Feng off?" You walk forward fifty steps and see a cave. You throw a stone into the cave three times. If you throw the stone into the cave once, your wife will give birth to a son in the next year. When you finish speaking, the old man disappears. Zhao Yuanwai hurriedly walked fifty steps forward, and a cave appeared. According to the old man's instructions, he picked up three stones and threw them towards the cave. One stone missed, two stones did not hit, and three stones hit. Zhao Yuanwai was overjoyed. He hurried home and told his wife about the incident. The next year, Zhao Yuanwai was really happy to have a son. Zhao Yuanwai was so happy that he took his wife, hugged his son, and went to Dongquan with gongs and drums to "fulfill his wish." After the incident spread, people regardless of wealth or status, who wanted to have a son, would go to this hole and throw stones. Over time, people called it "Der Cave".
