Introduction to Yu Palace: Huguang Guild Hall, also known as Yu Palace, was built in the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty and expanded in the 26th year of Daoguang. The current restored area is 2270 square meters, which is the largest building complex in Huguang Guild Hall in Chongqing. architecture.
There are many floods in the Huguang area, so immigrants from Huguang worshiped Yu and prayed for good weather and safe boats. The overall Yu Palace was built on the mountain, facing south, with a tight structure and grand momentum. It was divided into a large gate, a main hall, a gallery and a theater. There are three parts of the courtyard. Under the eaves of the main hall and theater building, there are carved the stories of characters from "Twenty-Four Filial Piety", "Journey to the West" and "Feng Shen Bang", as well as the wood carvings of landscapes, flowers and birds surrounding the building.
