Introduction to Husband and Wife Rock: Yuejunshan scholar Li Lanbo and Wen Juncai were classmates for more than ten years and fell in love like brothers. Li and Wen made an agreement that if they gave birth to a boy and a girl, they would become their children and their families would not be separated. Hou Lanbo had a son first, named Li Tao; and Jun Cai had a daughter later, named Wenjuan. After the Wen family saw the decline of the Li family, they remarried their daughter to someone else. Wen Juan died in love on the day of her marriage. When Li Tao returned to his hometown to pay homage to his parents, he met Wenjuan's soul. The two of them took her to the Yuejun Cliff. After worshiping the sky and the earth under the moonlight, they burst into tears and jumped off the cliff. Hundreds of years later, the souls of the couple returned to their hometown and turned into stones at the place where they swore to jump off the cliff. The folks in Yuejun Mountain called this "Couple's Rock" in memory of Li Tao and Wenjuan, who were unwavering in their love.
