Introduction to the Tianshi Chair: Zhang Tianshi, whose name is Zhang Daoling and whose courtesy name is Fuhan, was a native of Peiguofeng County in the Eastern Han Dynasty and served as the magistrate of Jiangzhou. In the middle of the Eastern Han Dynasty, he lived in seclusion in Yuejun Mountain, wrote more than 20 Taoist books, and practiced the Nine Heavens Divine Pill with his disciple Wang Chang in the "Danjing Longquan". Every day at dawn, I sit quietly on the rocky cliffs, meditating and absorbing the true energy of heaven and earth for thousands of days. The Emperor of Heaven was so moved that he ordered Taishang Laojun to descend to the realm and teach him the magic of subduing demons and becoming immortals for three years, and finally achieved success.
