Introduction to the ancient street: The old street in Zhongshan Ancient Town is paved with bluestone slabs and extends along the Sunxi River from south to north, with a total length of 1,586 meters. The entire old street is based on bluestone, with wood, bamboo and brick walls, and well-proportioned carved beams and painted buildings. Experts on residential architecture who came to inspect the ancient town rated it as the largest, best-preserved, and most ethnically distinctive group of ancient buildings in Southwest China.
