Lufeng Dinosaur Fossil Introduction: Chuxiong is also an area with a large number of dinosaur fossils in China and even the world. It has the largest number of known species, the largest number, and the most concentrated burial of dinosaur fossil sites in the world. Since Mr. Yang Zhongjian discovered dinosaur fossils in Lufeng, Chuxiong in 1938, nearly 24 genera and more than 50 species of sauropod fauna have been discovered throughout the state. The era is from the Triassic to the Middle Jurassic of the Mesozoic Era, about 220 million to 140 million years ago.
