Introduction to Lake View Cemetery: Lake View Cemetery was built in 1872 and covers an area of about 40 acres. More than 40,000 souls have settled here. Some famous Seattle pioneers are buried here, including the Denny family who founded Seattle, and Princess Angeli, the daughter of the Indian tribe leader Seattle (Seattle is named after this leader). Their names are now common street, place and park names. After Bruce Lee was buried in 1973, Lakeview Cemetery became more famous and became a major attraction in Seattle.
