Introduction to Mazu Temple: Fudou Mountain Mazu Temple, also known as Fudou Temple, is located in Dingqi Village. It was first built in the Jiayou Jihai year of Renzong of the Northern Song Dynasty (1059 AD). It has been repaired many times throughout the generations and the temple is spectacular. Fudou Temple is famous at home and abroad because Zheng He, the great navigator, diplomat, and military strategist in the early Ming Dynasty, made seven voyages to the West. He built the "South China Sea Altar" in front of the temple to worship, took oaths, and set sail through Wuhu Reef.
