Introduction to Fortress Mountain: Fortress Mountain was historically called Xujiashan. In order to prepare for the establishment of the Beiyang Navy in the late Qing Dynasty, the Qing government built a coastal defense project in the Dalian Bay area in 1887. At that time, the coastal defense project around Dalian Bay required the construction of 6 forts, among which Xujiashan was a land defense fort.
