Introduction to flag plate stone: On the eve of Xu Fu's eastward journey, Qin Shihuang ordered people to build a flag plate. A pole was erected three feet high and more than ten feet wide. It was embroidered with the word "Qin" the size of a stone vat, surrounded by tigers. The large banner with a head, lin and phoenix as background indicates the course for Xu Fu's return voyage, and was later used by fishermen to guide navigation marks.
