Introduction to the Immortal Pavilion: The Immortal Pavilion is located next to the altar of prayer. It is where Xu Fudong viewed the sea and worshiped. It is said that Xu Fu led 3,000 boys and girls to seek the elixir of immortality in the east every day in order to successfully enter the sea. When they turn white, boys and girls are ordered to burn incense and offer sacrifices to the sea to seek blessings from gods. To commemorate Xu Fu's eastward journey, a Qiuxian Pavilion was built.
