Introduction to the big house: This is a big house surrounded by earthen slab walls and installed with barbed wire. There are two large Kangs on the opposite side of the house, with a few small windows left on the walls, sealed with wooden boards and iron bars. The light is dim, the air is dirty, the summer is hot and the winter is cold. Most of the people living here are miners captured from the occupied areas of North China. They have no personal freedom. Every day when commuting to and from get off work, I lead the team with my head in front, and the mine team guards behind me, living like a prisoner.
