Introduction to Mount McKinley: Mount McKinley is located near the middle section of the Alaska Range in south-central Alaska, USA. It is the highest peak in North America, with an altitude of 6193 meters. Mount Denali was originally named Denali Peak, which was the name of the local Indians. "Denali" means "House of the Sun" in Indian language. Later, the mountain was named Mount McKinley after the surname of William McKinley, the 25th President of the United States.
