Introduction to the Songgaoling Temple Stele in Zhongyue: Located in the four-cornered pavilion on the east side in front of Junji Gate, it was engraved in the second year of Tai'an (AD 456) of Emperor Wencheng of the Northern Wei Dynasty. It is the oldest Yitong stone stele in the Songshan area, with a height of 2. 82 meters tall, carved from solid stone. The inscription is said to have been written by Kou Qianzhi, a famous Taoist priest in Song. The font structure is strict and the writing style is simple and vigorous, imitating the ancient Han Dynasty stele system. It is an extremely precious material for studying Wei calligraphy and the religious history of Zhongyue Temple.
