Introduction to Aarhus Old Town: Aarhus Old Town (Den Gamle By), also known as the open-air museum, was built in 1914. The 75 houses in the street are all from 20 villages and towns within the territory. They are basically half-timbered structures. They were rebuilt as they were after being moved here for tourists to visit.
