Introduction to Christian VII's Palace: Christian VII's Palace The VII's Palace was originally called Moltke's Palace. The palace is located southwest of the castle and has been used by the royal family for welcomes and receptions since 1885. It is used for etiquette purposes such as receiving distinguished guests.
This palace was built between 1750 and 1754 by the best craftsmen and artists of the time. It is the most luxuriously decorated of the four palaces. The palace hall is decorated with distinctive wood carvings and gorgeous murals, and is considered a model of the Rococo style in Danish royal palaces.
