Introduction to Daehanmun Gate: It is the main gate of Deoksugung Palace. It was originally called Daanmun Gate. The words on the hanging plaque were written by Nam Jung-cheol, the magistrate of Seoul Prefecture at that time (current mayor of Seoul). Across the street from Dahanmen is the Plazahotel.
