Introduction to Gongjiang River: Ganzhou's economy developed rapidly in the Song Dynasty. In order to facilitate communication, three pontoon bridges were built on the Zhang and Gong rivers, namely the East River, Xihe River and Nanhe River to connect urban and rural areas. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the Xihe and Nanhe pontoon bridges were demolished for the construction of highway bridges. Only this pontoon bridge has been specially preserved as a historical and cultural landscape of a national historical and cultural city, and it is still serving the citizens of Ganzhou.
