Introduction to the Huabai Well Monument: In 1991, the unveiling ceremony of the Shengli Petroleum Administration Discovery Well Monument was held grandly at the Huabai Well. The monument is engraved with the inscription "The first discovery well in the North China oil region" by State Councilor Kang Shi'en. North China's No. 8 benchmark well - Well Hua 8, is the first oil well in North China and the discovery well of Shengli Oilfield. It is located 1,500 meters east of Dongying Village, Dongying District, with a designed well depth of 2,500 meters. Drilling started on February 26, 1961, and the drilling was successful. This was another major breakthrough in China's oil exploration in Shandong, the North China Plain, less than two years after the discovery of the Daqing Oilfield in the Songliao Basin. It opened the door to the exploration and development of the Shengli Oilfield. the prologue.
