Introduction to the Poetry and History Hall: The Poetry and History Hall is the central building of the Du Fu Thatched Cottage memorial temple. In the middle of the Hall of Poetry and History is a statue of Du Fu sculpted by the sculptor Liu Kaiqu. The hall displays couplets and plaques inscribed by celebrities from past dynasties.
