Introduction to the West Lake: The West Lake in Dunhuang, also known as "Hara Lake", is named after "Hara Nor", which means "Black Sea" in Mongolian. It is the last green barrier to prevent the eastward movement of the Kumtag Desert, protect Dunhuang, and protect the Mogao Grottoes. It is China’s second Przewalski’s horse reintroduction base and the first stop of the ancient Silk Road’s westward exit from Yuguan.
